- ¼ small cabbage white or green (approx 370g), finely shredded
- 1 small carrot coarsely grated
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1½ tablespoon neutral oil or olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Mix vinegar, sugar and oil in a small bowl until sugar dissolves.
Add the shredded cabbage into a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle it with salt and using your fingertips, massage the cabbage for 1-2 minutes until it softens significantly.
